KOONTZ, Deborah L., 55, of Toronto, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Jan. 29, 1958, in Charleston, WV, she is the daughter of the late Jacqueline (Young) Early.
Deborah worked as a nurse's aide and private caregiver. She had a deep love for all animals, especially her pet dogs.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Bostic, and her stepfather, Harold Owens.
Deborah's survivors include her husband, Phillip Timothy Koontz of the family home in Toronto, whom she married Sept. 13, 1997; her father, Eugene "Skip" Early of Toronto; two sons, Arthur L. "J.R." Fowler Jr. and his wife Becki of Irondale, OH, and Phillip Tyler-Vai Koontz of Tiltonsville, OH; a grandson, Noah; a brother, Ray Thomas Owens and his companion, Leslie Norris of Toronto, OH; two nieces, Samantha Owens of Toronto, OH, and Mrs. Crissy Rowley and her husband Beau of Thompson Station, TN; a nephew, Bradley Bostic; mother- and father-in-law, Phillip and Joan Koontz; sister-in-law, Ms. Patty Blankenship; brother and sister- in- law, Joe and Vickie Koontz; and great nieces and nephews, Jaime, Maddison and Tommy Rowley.
Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, from 6 p.m. until the time of the celebration of life service at 8 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH 43964 (740-537-1234/ 855-847-1240).
Pastor Jeff Greco will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Deborah's name may be made to the family through the funeral home.
