Quick Fit Family Fitness of Weirton sponsored its first Stand Up For A CauseBecause You Can 5K Run/Walk held Jan. 4.
All proceeds from the event benefited spinal cord injury awareness.
The challenging 3.1-mile course began and ended at Starvaggi Pool and threaded throughout the hilly neighborhood.

Christine Sabatasse served as race director, and the Weirton Police Department provided course assistance.
