MCDANNELS, Roy Junior, 90, of Bloomingdale, OH, passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice on Dec. 25, 2013.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1923 in Beverly, WV, a son of the late James and Violia (Gibson) McDannels.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tucker Gibson, Ray and Jim McDannels; sisters, Ruth Bolton, Jane; daughter-in-law, Sue McDannels; and son- in-law, Nevin L. Miser, Sr.
Roy served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from Weirton Steel as a pipefitter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (Louk) McDannels; son, Thomas Paul McDannels of New Philadelphia, OH; daughters, Shirley Miser of Bloomingdale, and Margaret (David) Cline of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Leslie, Lee, Roy, and Lisa; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby; brother, Robert; and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Friday from 3-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Reverend David Rosenberger and Pastor Tom Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will follow with Military Honors at East Springfield Cemetery.
