SHEDLOCK, Deborah Jean Barkhurst, 54, of Burgettstown, Pa., Hanover Township, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on November 21, 1959, a daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Smith Barkhurst.
A graduate of the Union High School in Burgettstown, she had an 18-year career as a manager for Walmart, working within several stores.
She enjoyed caring for and riding her horses; crafting, especially stamping and scrapbooking; and most important to her was spending time with her family.
Her husband, George S. Shedlock, whom she married on November 23, 1983, survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her three children, Damian Richard Williamson and wife, Leah Marie of Ohio, Dawn Louise Williamson and husband, Matthew James of MD, and George Paul Shedlock and fiancee, Kiernan Montrey of Ohio; six grandchildren, Connor Reid, Parker James and Sylvia Darlene Williamson, Benjamin Arthur and Elijah Thomas Williamson, and Cory Montrey; a brother, Donald Paul Barkhurst and wife, Grace of Hanover Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Ave., Burgettstown, where services will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joyce Morra officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
