The West Virginia Department of Transportation Division of Highways Cove Road facility was quiet early today, but salt trucks were expected to be out on area roadways today, as a winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service until midnight. Forecasts call for temperatures to fall and the rain to turn into a mixture of sleet and snow, beginning around 4 p.m. Forecasts are calling for up to 3 inches of snow by Saturday morning. — Summer Wallace-Minger
