THOMPSON, Norman James, of Miamisburg, OH, passed away November 17, 2013, at the age of 83.
Norman James Thompson, born November 7, 1930, in Holiday Cove, Weirton, WV, to parents Loren J. Thompson and Helena M. Thompson.
Norman is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Korean Conflict aboard U.S.S. Morgan County (LST 1048). Norman attended Franklin University, The University of Dayton, and Xavier University. Norman had a long career as a senior systems analyst, primarily contracted within the defense sector.
Norman and wife Leahnora (married September 1954) moved to Miamisburg, Ohio, in 1972 where they raised son, John W. Thompson.
Norman was preceded by wife, Leahnora who passed away in 1980.
Norman married his wife, Karen Fett in 1981. Norman loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and electronics. Norman is survived by his wife, Karen, son, John, and daughter-in-law, Dawn, granddaughters, Nikki and Natalie, his sister, Beverly Miller, and nephew, Jeff Miller.
Private services will be held.
