CADIZ - The Harrison Hills City School Board addressed several personnel issues at Thursday's meeting.
Substitute employees given approval were Kristie Smith, who will serve as an LPN/aide; Cortney Dowdle, Paul Griffin and Holly McCormack as teachers/tutors; and Nathan Kowalski as a custodian.
In other personnel business:
Brittany Fulton was employed as an LPN/aide at Harrison East Elementary for seven hours daily, effective Oct. 31.
Supplemental coaches for the 2013-14 school year include Mike Valesko as baseball varsity; Todd Dunlap, baseball varsity assistant; Derek Madzia, baseball reserve; Chad Figurski, freshmen baseball; Don Bethel, varsity softball; Luke Turner, varsity boys track; Nick Miller, varsity girls track; Samantha McIntosh, varsity track assistant; Ty Kenny, junior high girls track; and Ian White, seventh-grade basketball.
The board approved supplemental coaches for 2013-14, including Todd Dunlap, wrestling varsity; Brian Gossett, varsity baseball; Ian Watt, varsity baseball; Kevin Kuhn and Scott Ward, junior high basketball; and T.T. DiLoreto, junior high boys basketball.
Pam Tope and Eric Sheets were approved as co-directors for the 21st Century After School Program at Harrison Junior/Senior High School, effective Dec. 3.
Ashley Jacobsen was approved as a teacher effective Monday under a temporary assignment to be determined at a later date.
Board members confirmed Donna Pendleton as a pre-kindergarten educational aide at Harrison North, effective Monday.
Anna Minalga will serve as a language arts teacher, effective Nov. 18.
Teacher Nick Yourkovich was approved to take five to seven Harrison Central Close-Up students to Washington, D.C., on March 19-15.
Board members approved a trip request from Rachel Smith, Spanish teacher, for a trip to Peru during the summer of 2015.
A request from Amanda's Dance Academy was approved for use of the junior/senior high school auditorium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 for a dance recital.
