Starkdale Presbyterian Church Youth Pastor Bobbyjon Bauman and his youth ministry volunteer leaders are launching an organization called Valley Youth Workers Network.
The group of leaders will work with youth to bring gospel to students in the Upper Ohio Valley, according to Bauman.
"I have been in youth ministry nearly 20 years and have found that the communities I have served in that had such networks had a much greater impact on the youth of the community for Christ than those in which one did not exist," Bauman said.

"I feel that all of the area youth ministry leaders have something to bring to the table, and they all love working with youth and want to see them growing and thriving in their faith. A wonderful vehicle for assisting youth workers/pastors in this task is for leaders to come together and pray, plan joint activities and encourage each other as they carry out the unique work God has called us to," Bauman said.
In light of that, the Valley Youth Workers Network is having an organizational meeting from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Starkdale Presbyterian Church, 4600 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
Coffee, drinks and light snacks will be provided.
All youth ministry leaders, paid and unpaid, part-time and full-time, are encouraged to attend.
Bauman said he also will share about "an exciting communitywide outreach that is already in the works featuring inspirational speaker Reggie Dabbs who speaks to 2.5 million students a year and will be speaking at a number of area schools and communitywide rallies April 6-8."
