November 13, 2013
The Herald-Star
The Buckeye Local High School Thespians will present “Annie, Jr.” in the Buckeye Local Theater at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. “Annie, Jr.” is the story of Little Orphan Annie, played by Allie Berze, who charms everyone’s hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan, played by Emily Stephens. With the help of other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous and magical world of New York City and finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks played by Zach Kaiser. Ready for the production are, from left, Kaiser; Tyler Miller (Sandy); Berze; Rachael Hutton (Grace); Mara Dixon (Lily); and Kody Braley (Rooster). - Contributed
