Class continues reunion planning
The Steubenville Catholic Central High School Class of 1964 will meet at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Lancelot's Restaurant in Wintersville to continue plans for the 50-year reunion to be held June 13-14 at the Steubenville Country Club.
All class members are invited to attend to contribute. Details of the Friday night mixer, Saturday night dinner and Friday golf outing will be discussed. All class members have been contacted by either e-mail or regular mail with the exception of several whose whereabouts are unknown. Inquiries can be directed to email@example.com.
Toronto Sunrise Seniors meet
The Toronto Sunrise Senior Citizens met Oct. 25 with Vice President Harry Andrews presiding and Tim Gribben being sworn in as the group's new president by Jay Smith.
Five guests were welcomed, including Patty Moorehead, Bobbie Rowan, Patty Farnella and Paul Pavelko's daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Chuck.
Peggy Nordenger gave the blessing for the dinner provided by the October kitchen committee comprised of Ray and Karen Horne, Lois Baker, Madge DeJulio, Marge Kane and Darlene Carter. Covered dishes were provided by the membership.
Mayor John Geddis and Dorothy Blaner reminded the members to vote in November. Reports were given by Mary Lou Deku, secretary; Judy Sabol, treasurer; and Tracey Wade, social secretary.
Andrews and Beth Clark won the 50-50. Door prizes were won by Connie Lopashansky and Eileen Cernansky, and special door prizes, provided by Blaner, were won by Elaine Briceland and Patty Farnella.
The membership was asked to bring a canned good to the Thanksgiving dinner to be held on Friday. Turkey will be provided by the kitchen committee, and the membership will provide the side dishes. The kitchen committee for November is Harry and Betty Jo Anderson, Pete and DoDo Graceffa, Mary Ann Ohalek, Peg Nordenger, John and Nancy Bodrog and Ralph Noonan. There will be no second meeting in November.
The Christmas dinner will be held Dec. 13 at the American Legion. The last day to sign up or cancel is Dec. 7. Joyce Gribben is in charge of the event. There will be no second meeting in December.
A trip to Washington, D.C., on May 2-5 has some remaining seats. The first payment will be due in January.

Skat and card winners were Patty Roth, Judy Sabol, Helen Lindsey, Harry Andrews, Nina Kavanaugh and Joan Nance. Meetings are held the second and fourth Fridays of each month at the Roosevelt School. New members are accepted.
'Vineyard Education Night' detailed
The Harrison Soil and Water Conservation District, in conjunction with Black Sheep Vineyard, will host a "Vineyard Education Night" from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the Black Sheep Vineyard located at 1454 state Route 250, Adena.
The cost is $10 with attendance limited to 50 people. The evening will cover how grapes are grown; how wine is made; five sample flights of wine; and take home a Black Sheep Vineyard glass. Registration is required by Nov. 13 by calling (740) 942-8837.
Sisters of the Garibaldi meet
The Sisters of the Garibaldi met on Oct. 15 at the lodge where members enjoyed a Halloween party hosted by Emelia Recchio, Sylvia Wendt, Vickie Ross, Mary Santangelo, Anna DiVenanzo and Mary Arlia.
Prizes were awarded to Mary Arlia, Cathy Tripodi, Edna Michetti, Joyce Parrish, Santa Tripodi, Mary Santangelo, Angela Rinaldi, Lucy Takach, Rita Ficca, Yolanda Mannella, Toni Boyd, Ada Pulice and Teresa Lamantia.
The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the lodge. Members are encouraged to attend. The Christmas party will be discussed.
