The Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary board meeting was held Oct. 9 in the Starvaggi Board Room, with President Sondra Weigel calling the meeting to order.
Nineteen members attended.
Reports were given by Recording Secretary Elda Weekley and Treasurer Paula Billick.
Administrative Liaison Barbara Coalter reported the "All About Women" health center will soon be open and updates continue on Level 4.
Auxiliary chairmen made the following reports: Phil Troia, clergy; John Patton, coffee cart; Barbara Visnic, gift cart; Jeannie Duffy, gift shop; Paula Billick, payroll deductions and mail; Elda Weekley, publicity; Diana Crago, radiology; Marg DiClemente, skilled care; Beth DiGregorio, surgical desk escorts; Margaret Patton, volunteens; Flo Jonczak, birth certificates; and Grace Lenhart, historian and Remembrance Fund.
Hospitality Chair Joan Hawrot announced the Christmas party will be held Dec. 10 in the medical center cafeteria.
Gift Shop Committee Chair Vivian Weigel reported there will be a 20 percent discount on all sports merchandise today and Friday in the gift shop. There will be a drawing for two sports baskets. Those making purchases of $10 or more will be entered for the large basket and those making purchases of $5 or more, but less than $10, will be entered for the small basket.
Record of Volunteer Hours Chair Sondra Weigel reported 3,564.5 total volunteer hours during the second quarter. The top 10 volunteers for second quarter are: Sondra Weigel, 250; Paula Billick, 171; Elda Weekley, 156; Jeannie Duffy, 140; Barbara Visnic, 107; Marilyn Hinchee, 106; Pat Gurerra, 104; Marg DiClemente, 101; Flo Jonczak, 98.5; and Jenne Fetty, 97.5.
Volunteen total hours for the second quarter was 324, with the top five being Olivia Best, 60; Haley Crews, 38.5; Kayla Bryant, 36; and Kelly Lemasters, 36.

Fall festival at
P. Hill church
The Pleasant Hill Baptist Church located at 2305 state Route 213, Steubenville, is offering the public a time of food, fun and fellowship at its fall festival set for Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will include several carnival games and prizes.

Pastor Frank Leghart invites men from the area to a men's breakfast to be hosted by the Carrollton Believers Fellowship, 1001 Canton Road N.W., Carrollton, at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The featured speaker will be Ken Johnson from "Men's Rally in The Valley 2013."
As the acting chaplain of the Indianapolis Colts, Johnson understands the challenges and adversity that men are often faced with in their lives, according to Leghart. "He is credited with having a tremendous natural ability to communicate life-changing leadership principles to young people and adults,' he said.
Special music will be provided by the Ohio Valley Teen Challenge Choir. The praise and worship team from Carrollton Believers Fellowship will lead the morning worship.
An offering of canned goods will benefit the Loaves & Fishes Carroll County Food Bank.
Suggested donation for the breakfast is $5.

festival Nov. 2
The holiday craft festival sponsored by the art department of the GFWC Weirton Woman's Club will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the RJ Bush Center (Mercy Baptist Church) at 3474 Pennsylvania Ave, Weirton.
Admission is $2, and there is free parking.
The event will include a bake sale, entertainment and an Authors' Alley featuring, along with more than 20 crafters.
Holiday Home Tour tickets will be on sale for $20.
The self-guided tour is sponsored by the Hancock County Arts Council and features homes in Weirton, New Cumberland and Chester. Representatives from CASA, A Child's Place will be at the show, and donations for the Hancock County Animal Shelter will be accepted.
The show will have primitive wood products, gift baskets, jewelry, wreaths, dog accessories and baked goods.
