TORONTO - Hickory Lodge in Mingo Junction was the setting for the Sept. 21 wedding that united Megan Marie Rood and Alexander Cory Myer. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dave Martin, with a reception following.
The bride was escorted down the aisle and given in marriage by her parents, John and Karen Rood of Toronto. She wore a vintage lace style fit and flare gown and carried a fall foliage bouquet.
The groom is the son of Bill and Kathy Myer of Uhrichsville. He wore his Marine Corps Dress Blue uniform.

Angela Colvin of Columbus, the bride's cousin, served as the maid of honor. Steven Hess of Dalton was the best man. The flower girls were the groom's nieces, Hannah and Meara Young.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Edison High School and is attending Eastern Gateway Community College pursuing a degree in respiratory therapy.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Buckeye Career Center and is serving in the Marine Corps at Camp LeJeune. He will finish his enlistment in a year and move back to Ohio. The couple plan to reside in the New Philadelphia area at that time.
