The Wal-Mart Distribution Center provides meat and other food items, and Wheeler Funeral Home also provides donations.

Schoolcraft said the Key Club at Indian Creek High School also will be asked to provide volunteers.

She said the churches will have giving trees for church members to buy gifts for boys and girls age 12 and younger.

Persons wishing to make a donation for the food distribution can do so by contacting Schoolcraft or mailing a donation to Mingo Junction Social Services, 501 Commercial St., Mingo Junction, OH 43938, or by calling Schoolcraft at (740) 535-9161.

She said the agency in the past has received hundreds of dollars in cash donations from throughout the country.
