STEUBENVILLE - Team UNITY, in collaboration with the Urban Mission Ministries and Community Inc., will present a free juice workshop from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center.
Organizer Justice Slappy said the "From the garden to the juice bar" will encourage people to eat healthy and also to be producers of a healthy lifestyle.
"With the rising cost of food, gardening is a great investment for a family. Studies have found the average family with a vegetable garden spends just $70 a year on it and grows an estimated $600 worth of vegetables. These vegetables can be used for a variety of things like teas, soaps and healthy juices," explained Slappy.

"We will use fresh herbs and vegetables from the Unity garden as ingredients in our workshops to show the holistic and economic value of the garden," added Slappy.
"Join together with other Americans across the country who are marking this day by giving back to their communities and remembering the victims of Sept. 11," said Slappy.
"If you would like to join our team or for information on our workshops, you can contact us at (740) 424-2269 or at our website at www.teamuntiy740.org or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
