Suzanne Kresser, former executive director of the United Way of Jefferson County, was honored Friday as a member of the Class of 2013 of the Jefferson Society Hall of Fame. Hall inductees are recognized annually for their contributions to the United Way. Helping to present the award were, from left, Ross Gallabrese, past United Way board president; Beth Rupert-Warren, United Way executive director; Kresser; and Christine Hargrave, hall of fame coordinator. Sophie Schoolcraft, longtime director of Mingo Junction Social Services, and Todd Piergallini of Piergallini Catering, were named to the hall during Thursday’s annual Jazz in the Garden event held at the home of Lisa and Derek Ferguson of Wintersville. Friday’s presentation was made during the luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Steubenville. — Mark J. Miller
