The Jefferson Society, the leadership givers of the United Way of Jefferson County, will host its annual Jazz in the Garden at the home of Derek and Lisa Ferguson in Wintersville beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
It will feature the jazz music of Dr. Francis Sunseri and his jazz musicians and cuisine by Piergallini Catering. Desserts will be donated by Sodexo Food Service at Franciscan University.
The event is held each year to thank the leadership donors for their faithful support of the United Way.

"It is refreshing and rewarding to work with my Jefferson Society team and to experience the faithful support by our Jefferson Society members year after year," said Anita Jackson, Jefferson Society chair.
"This is my seventh year, and each year we usually make our goal. In the 2013 campaign, the Jefferson Society raised $196,581.55 of the overall goal of $445,225.69," Jackson said.
During the evening's program, Christine Hargrave, the Hall of Fame coordinator for the Jefferson Society, will announce the 2013 inductees.
The honorees will be singled out for what the committee deems outstanding contributions to the overall cause of the United Way.
Donors making Jazz in the Garden possible include Dominick "Donnie" Teramana and the Hollywood City Center, the Hindman Family Cos., Brightway Center, Sodexo Food Service at Franciscan University of Steubenville and Jackson.
