SHADYSIDE - The Toronto volleyball team defeated host Shadyside 25-15, 25-12, 25-8 Friday.
"What a fantastic way to end a long week," said Red Knights head coach Chelsey Fletcher. "We played two scrimmages and two games this week and never let up. These ladies now see they can set the tone and play consistently throughout a match - another first for our program - winning in three sets.
"They commanded the floor and demanded excellence from each other. I applaud Shadyside and how far their program has come in one year."
Amber Fuller led the way with 35 points, six assists and two digs. Chelsea Anderson delivered 15 points, three kills and three digs and Miranda Robinson 10 points, six kills, five assists and three digs.
Katie Spadafora chipped in with 12 kills, six points and three blocks, Josey Jones added five points and three kills, Mykia West three points, Emily Anderson four digs, Serena Burkey four assists, Seneca Fuller two kills and Emily Kosikowski a kill.
Toronto visits Harrison Central on Tuesday.
