The Cadiz Women's Golf Association members played an interesting game on Aug, 21 - the Oldsters vs. the Youngsters.
The winner was the Oldster team consisting of Nep Rowland, Betty Thompson, Peg Buchanan, Ginny Ferrell and Nancy Beckert.
Putts of the Field pot was won by Rowland and Buchanan. Beckert had a chip-in on hole No. 13. Hostess was Ann Milleson.

Janet Orler had a chip in, and Lee Ann Grimes had low putts with 13 putts for the night's play.
Neysa McCart was the 50/50 winner.
After a two-week competition featuring 36 holes of stroke play, Marilyn Kenny won the club championship of the Steubenville Country Club Women's Golf Association. Kenny came into the final round of the tournament with a three-stroke lead and won by one stroke in a close match over YangJa Koh, who was runner-up for the championship.
The final 18-hole round had carts of spectators following the match as it progressed and a gallery at the 18 hole, where the match was decided, applauding their outstanding play. This championship marks the fifth for Kenny, who was club champion in 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2010.
The tournament also featured a winner and runner-up in two flights for the 18 holers and a nine-hole championship.
Golf professional John Denholm directed the tournament and announced the following winners: First flight:
Koh, champion, Kim Criss, runner-up; Second flight: Dianna Adams, champion, Renee Morelli, runner-up.
Dotty Tegano took the nine-hole championship with Shannon Irvin winning the runner-up spot.
Following play, a luncheon celebration was held in the clubhouse grill room with Denholm offering a champagne toast to the champions. Special awards for the championship will be presented at the closing day luncheon in September.
In addition to the club championship a weekly gross, net and putts game in flights was played with Criss as chairman.
Winners were: First flight: Koh, low gross; Kenny, low net and putts. Second flight: Adams, low gross; Theresa Metcalf, low net; Metcalf and Morelli tied for putts. Criss recorded a chip-in birdie on hole No. 3 to take the money cup. In the nine-hole group, Irvin won low gross with Tegano taking low net.
This week's event will be a 3-3-3 tournament with Criss as chairman. Eighteen-hole golfers are asked to check-in at the pro shop at 8:30 a.m. for a 9 a.m. tee time, and nine-hole golfers will report at 9 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. start.

Town and Country Women Golf League had a medal play Aug. 15 at Red Oaks Golf Course. Winners for the away day were:

The Williams Ladies Golf Association held the first week of the club championship tourney Aug. 20 and had "Team Low Net's" within.
The first-place team ended in a tie with Maribeth Arlia, Rita Kohn, Phyllis Phillips and the team of Erikka Buracchio, Alicia Myers and Vi Stein, both coming in with a score of 230.
The second-place team consisted of Priscilla Mavrich, Linda Staffilino and Toni Vosseler with a score of 237.
The "Pot of Gold" went to Kay Mascio when she chipped in from the sand-trap on hole No. 17. Assistant Pro Jason Smoljanovich set up the teams and figured the winners while also assigning tee times" for continued play this week.
Championship players and the regular weekly players will gather in the main dining room to toast the winners. Players who did not attend this past week are asked to phone the pro shop to be listed for play in the weekly event.
