Downtown fountain flows again

August 16, 2013
The Herald-Star
Jerry Barilla and Judy Bratten of the Historic Fort Steuben checked the memorial fountain in the Historic Fort Steuben Park Thursday afternoon. The fountain was shut down for the past two months while two operating pump motors were replaced. Barilla said it took five hours Thursday to fill the fountain pool that has been operating since 2002. The fountain holds approximately 7,000 gallons of water that is recirculated 24 hours a day. — Dave Gossett
