Pledge ride for United Way of Jefferson County

The 14th-annual United Way of Jefferson County Memorial Pledge Ride was held Saturday, with 89 bikes participating. The ride began and ended at Manfred’s Lounge on Sunset Boulevard. Beth Rupert-Warren, United Way executive director, said about $6,000 was raised for the organization. Helping with the event were, from left, Rupert-Warren, Tony Mougianis, United Way campaign chairman, Judy Manfred, and Wendell Keyser, ride captain for District 6, Ohio Patriot Guard Riders. Riders traveled to American Legion halls to support those who are serving or remember those who have served the country in military service.— Mark Law
