Baseball tournament to be held
BERGHOLZ - The Bergholz Baseball and Softball Association will host its inaugural "Battle in the Berg" on July 8-12 in two divisions - U10 and U12.
Format will be pool play followed by a single elimination tournament. Trophies to awarded to first- and second-place teams. Three games are guaranteed. The cost is $225 and two baseballs.

Holliday records an ace
HUBBARD, Ohio - Joe Holliday recorded a hole-in-one at Pine Lakes Golf Club. The 65-year-old Steubenville resident used a pitching wedge on the 107-yard par 3 16th hole. The shot was witnessed by Vito Cicchirillo, Keith Turner and Frank Mioduszewski.
Tickets can be paid
STEUBENVILLE - Steubenville Big Red football season tickets may now be prepaid for $36. Tickets will be available for pick-up in August. High school ticket office hours are from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday. Make checks out to SHS Athletics.
Camps at Weirton church
WEIRTON - Coach Mel Coleman will host his 29th-annual basketball camp from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 8-12 at the Mercy Baptist Church's Bush Center.
It is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 18. It is the longest-running basketball camp in the Tri-State Area. All campers receive a T-shirt, lunch and lessons from qualified staff and instructors.

STEUBENVILLE - Basketball is being held Monday through Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the outdoor courts at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center.

WINTERSVILLE - The Indian Creek Youth Football Camp will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. July 8-10 for those ages 7-12. The cost is $20 per camper and includes a T-shirt.
