COLUMBUS - State Sen. Lou Gentile, D Steubenville, will co-host the annual Ohio Democratic Party state dinner tonight.
Gentile will share the stage with co-host Nan Whaley, the Democrat Party-endorsed candidate for the mayor of Dayton.
"I'm excited and honored to co-host the Ohio Democratic Party state dinner. This annual event gives Democrats an opportunity to talk about how we are going to stand up for working and middle class families in Ohio," said Gentile.
"Lou is a rising star in the Ohio Democratic Party and his future is unlimited," said Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern.
"He is dedicated to the working families and communities in eastern and southeastern Ohio, and Democrats from all across the state will have a chance to hear him speak and get to know him better tonight," added Redfern.
The dinner's keynote address will be delivered by U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, will also give remarks to the crowd.
The state dinner theme this year is "Progressives Rock, friends, Dems and Rock n' Roll."
