To the editor:
"It was a beautiful cooperative community effort and experience."
These were the words of Donna Keagler, chairwoman of the Obamacare health care forum sponsored by the GFWC/OFWC Woman's Club of Steubenville.
More than 275 concerned area citizens attended the public forum Monday at Eastern Gateway Community College.
A panel of experts, representing local, state and federal offices, provided information and answered individual questions concerning the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act.
The Woman's Club of Steubenville extends its appreciation to the many individuals, organizations and businesses whose contributions were so vital to the success of this club project to provide a community service.
Special thanks go to Eastern Gateway Community College for the venue, facilities, equipment and staff assistance; the various area media organizations for outstanding promotion and coverage; members of the panel of experts for their time and expertise; Heritage Complete Home Care management and staff for materials and services; and the many participants from the Woman's Club of Steubenville under the leadership of Kathy Mills, president.
