The Follansbee Branch of the Brooke County Public Library will be offering a free basic computer class for adults at 11 a.m. Friday.

The Jefferson County Chapter of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association will hear Judy Owings from the Prime Time Office on Aging address the topic "Diabetes Care for Seniors" when the group meets June 4 at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church on state Route 213, Steubenville.
The association's business meeting will begin at 11 a.m. and be followed by dinner at noon. The menu will include chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, a vegetable dish, salad, rolls, homemade pie and beverages.

The June community service project for members will be collecting baby and/or adult hygiene supplies to benefit the WEBA Outreach Food Pantry, which serves the communities of Wolf Run, East Springfield, Bergholz and Amsterdam.

The Steubenville Art Association will elect officers when it meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Historic Fort Steuben located at 120 S. Third St., Steubenville.
A demonstration on armatures and celuclay sculpture will be given. A workshop on the same topic led by instructors Martha Jamail, Kiyoe Howalf, Janet Sower and Marilyn O'Connell of Cambridge will be held earlier in the day from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fort. Multiple Sclerosis group meeting set
The Weirton and Steubenville Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton.
Margie O'Leary, a nurse working with Multiple Sclerosis patients at UPMC, will discuss new medications recently approved for MS patients.

The Stanton Ruritan Club's chicken barbecue will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Irondale Village Park.
It will be held in addition to the Keith T. Harris Memorial Car Show with vendors, crafts, a disc jockey, Chinese auction and corn hole.
A free diabetes-related class open to the public will be held May 20 in the Starvaggi Room of Weirton Medical Center, beginning at 3 p.m.

Children can make a spring craft at the Schiappa branch on Thursday any time from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Family movie day will be held at the main library on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Play and Learn the Alphabet offers letter-learning toys for children age 2-6 and caregiver. It will be offered at the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant branch today at 5:30 p.m.

Moving On, a group of widows and widowers, met May 9 for their meeting and luncheon held at Undo's in Weirton with Christine Brown, vice president, presiding.
Jack Davis gave the blessing and Brown, the friendship reading. May birthdays were acknowledged.
Darlene Roe became the newest member to join while guests attending were Selva Mallory, Candy Yachini and Burlane Hoagland.
Table prizes in the form of gift cards were donated by Margaret Ashbee, Janet Gilham, Frances Parsons, Cindy Gilbert, Katie Roshac and Peg Sweeney.
Entertainment was provided by the Donohues - Jim and Jimmy - who performed easy listening music through songs from the 1950s and 1960s.

The Alzheimer's Association will be holding its monthly caregiver support group on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Eastern Gateway Community College, 4000 Sunset Blvd., Room 1500, Steubenville.
It is free and open to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one living with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.

An organizational meeting for the "St. Anthony Hawks Forever" reunion weekend is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 26 on the deck of the Spot Bar in Steubenville.
Plans for the reunion weekend on Aug. 17-18 will be discussed, and all Hawks who would like to work on the committee are welcomed to attend.
The weekend tentative plans include a golf outing, music, auction and food.
