Off to Mount Union

Steubenville High School senior Dashon Redman, flanked by his mother Monica Redman and James Smith, will continue his academic and athletic careers at the Univeristy of Mount Union, where he will major in exercise science and be a member of the football team. Redman was a third-team all-Ohio and first-team all-Eastern District selection. He carried the ball 140 times for 758 yards and scored eight touchdowns in the regular season. He also led the team with 60 tackles from his linebacker position. He finished the season with 910 yards rushing and 72 tackles. Redman was also selected as an Abe Bryan/Punque Cartledge Award winner at Big Red's football banquet. Also on hand for the signing were Jane Hanlin and football coach Reno Saccoccia.
