LISBON - Two people wanted in a string of burglaries in three counties are being sought both by the U.S. Marshal's Office and local sheriff's deputies, prompting a reward to be offered.
Sheldon Robinson, 39, and Melissa A. Dickson, 27, whose last known address was on Crestview Road near Columbiana, are wanted in connection to burglaries in Hancock County, as well as Columbiana and Trumbull counties. According to a press release, they face charges including burglary and complicity.
Columbiana County clerk of court records also show Dickson currently has a warrant for pending charges of two counts of conveying illegal drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, an indictment which was issued in 2012.
Robinson has a previous theft conviction in Columbiana County Municipal Court from 2012. He has failed to pay fines from that case, prompting a warrant for him as well.
Columbiana County Sheriff Ray Stone said deputies have been looking for the two for about a week, checking mostly in the areas of East Fairfield, Unity Township and Rogers, where at least one of them has had family connections in the past. Both listed the Crestview Road address on prior court documents.
However, the burglaries have been happening throughout region. The thefts also happen at various times. Stone said the two are also suspects in the theft of gas in Columbiana County.
The pair are believed to be driving a silver Ford F-150 with an extended cab. The license plate was reported stolen from the Columbiana area - BP68YX.
The vehicle matches the description of one seen near several daytime burglaries in Hancock County in recent weeks, with incidents in the areas of Allison Road, Frankfort Road, Pleasant Hills and Lyons Road.
Hancock County Sheriff Ralph Fletcher said witnesses have described a silver and black truck with a cap and Ohio license plate. Witnesses also have described the truck as having one tire differing from the rest, according to Fletcher.
Although the amount of the reward is not being released, Stone said it mostly depends on the information given and whether it leads to an arrest. He urges anyone who has information about where deputies can locate Robinson or Dickson to call (330) 424-7255 for the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
