STEUBENVILLE - The city health department is offering free and anonymous HIV testing from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday.
City Health Commissioner Patty Reda said the tests are by appointment only and interested persons should call the health department at (740) 283-6000, extension 1500, to schedule an appointment.
Reda said STD testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia also is available by appointment only by calling the above number, extension 1506.
"We will be offering blood pressure screenings and tuberculosis testing from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays during May," Reda said.
"Our childhood and adult immunization clinic is held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A parent or legal guardian must accompany the child and a record of prior immunizations must be provided before immunizations will be administered," said Reda.
The city health department will be closed on May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
