STEUBENVILLE - Two men are in custody and another man is in a Pittsburgh hospital with two gunshot wounds following an altercation that started at a Mingo Junction bar and ended at Lincoln and Tweed avenues around 2 a.m. today, City Police reported.
Police were notified after Zachary Willis, 33, of 1175 county Road 28, Steubenville, was brought to Trinity Medical Center West for treatment of gunshot wounds.
Officers were told the shooting happened at Lincoln and Tweed avenues. Officers went to the area and found seven spent 9 mm shell casings and drops of blood.
David Hanlin, 23, of 1080 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, and Marlin Hartman, 29, of 261 Clifton Ave., Mingo Junction, were arrested by Mingo Junction Police at Hartman's residence.
City Police Chief William McCafferty said a Mingo Junction officer and a county sheriff's deputy recovered a vehicle believed to have been used in the shooting hidden off Wilson Avenue.
Several people were being interviewed at the police station this morning.
McCafferty said no gun has been recovered.
