CADIZ - The Harrison Hills City Board of Education approved several personnel contracts during Thursday's meeting.
Regarding personnel, board members approved several administrators for continuous employment effective for the 2013-14 school year. These include three-year contracts for Sandy Leggett as principal of Harrison East Elementary; Brent Ripley, high school principal; and Duran Morgan, administrative assistant. A five-year contract was approved for Mark Kowalski as director of operations, and Dana Snider was approved as superintendent.
The board approved a three-year contract with Robin Anderson as school psychologist, effective Aug. 1 and continuing through July 31, 2016.
In other business, the board:
Terminated a contract with Holly Kulow, effective July 31, and entered into a new three-year contract effective Aug. 1 through July 31, 2016.
Approved a one-year contract with Susan Potvin as 21st century coordinator effective July 1 through June 30, 2014.
Recalled Ken Maxwell as a bus driver for route 202 at 6.33 hours, effective March 11.
Confirmed the assignments of bus drivers Cindy Twaddle to route 245 at 6.75 hours, effective March 11, and Tammy Crall to route 211 at 5.25 hours of regular route and two hours of preschool route, effective March 11, 2013.
Approved Cody Kaiser and Ian White as volunteer supplemental junior high track coaches for the 2012-13 school year.
Approved Byron Wilson as a bus driver for the remainder of this school year.
Approved Dana Takach as aide at Harrison East, effective April 1.
Approved the retirement of Roxane Kovacik, effective June 1.
Approved the revised 2013-14 calendar and accepted tax rates and values as established by the county budget commission.
Approved the renewal of the annual sports agreement with Create a Check effective April 13 through April 12, 2014, totaling $584.70.
Approved an agreement with DePaul School for Hearing and Speech that began March 1 and will continue through Feb. 28, 2014, to provide services for a student.
Approved entering into contract with Kristina Edie to provide speech evaluations for children newborn to age 3.
Approved the list of prospective graduates.
The next board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on April 18.
