Group to meet
The Lupus Support Group will meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center located at 905 Market St., Steubenville.
The meeting location is changed because of remodeling at the Hampton Inn.
"Bringing Services into the Home" will be the topic.
Walter and Pat Howard are project coordinators. Iris Callahan is an outreach worker.
The group is funded by the Ohio Commission on Minority Health and Sponsored by Urban Mission Ministries, Neighborhood Community Development Center.
retirees to meet
The Weirton Hospital retirees will hold a Valentine's Day business meeting luncheon at noon Feb. 12 at Gio's.
All hospital and Weirton Medical Center retirees are invited to attend. Wendy Bonovich Moslander is the organization's newest member.

At the last meeting, the president's gavel was passed from Donna Latkiewicz to Joyce Barnhart.
Carrie Oliver Shultz provided entertainment, performing a variety of vocal arrangements.
Members passed a "good will" basket, and the Community Bread Basket received a $250 donation, and the Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary received a $25 donation in honor of the organization's deceased members. Judy Tate received materials for Project Sleeping Bag, which provides handmade sleeping bags to the Wheeling Carpenter House. Tate asked members to continue to donate materials.
Membership dues of $10 should be remitted at the February meeting.
Tate won the 50/50 drawing, and Wendy Kemp, Barbara Andrews, Marie Brown, Mary Orrechio, Aggie Hoffman and Latkiewicz won centerpieces.
Meetings are set for Feb. 12, April 9, June 11, Aug. 13, Oct. 8 and Dec. 10. Any member who wants to serve on the luncheon menu committee for meetings can contact Corliss Brown at (304) 748-1690.
Saddle Club to
The Steubenville Saddle Club's February meeting will be held at the East Springfield Community Center, not the Glenn Mills Senior/Community Center in Richmond.
The meeting will be held Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.
The meeting change is because the former Grange hall in Richmond is a polling place in Tuesday's special Edison levy vote.

Convention topic for Mingo Lions
The opening meeting of 2013 for the Mingo Lions Club was held at the Mingo Medical Group Office Building with Jo Ann Johns, second vice president, presiding.
Dr. William Johns gave the opening prayer.
Members discussed the district convention to be held on April 5 and 6 in New Philadelphia.
Christine Barrett reported a donation was made to Mingo Social Services for its Christmas baskets.
Clara Sue and Leroy Milewsky will pick up used glasses to be taken to the Lions Collection Center before the next meeting.
The next meeting will be held Feb. 18 at Mingo Medical Group Office Building. Johns will be the caller.
Dinner to benefit Colliers man
A spaghetti benefit dinner will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Colliers First Church of God located on Old Police Lodge Road.
The dinner benefits Danny Smearman, who is battling cancer and has already lost both his kidneys to the disease and undergoes dialysis four days a week.
The cost is $7 per person.
