King program held

Davina Ware, a Steubenville High School graduate and now a high school teacher in Columbus and director of the Columbus Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Columbus, reads from the children’s book, “Follow the Drinking Gourd.” during a children’s program Saturday at the Steubenville Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Ware, a member of the Mattie Mae Foundation, brought fellow actors and dancers from Columbus for the program, including Marion-Franklin High School where she teaches. The sixth-annual Martin Luther King Jr. Youth and Children Program, attended by about 50 kids and parents, was a joint effort of Eastern Gateway Community College, the MLK Association, City of Steubenville and Franciscan University of Steubenville. - Mark Law
