A spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit the Agape Homeless Shelter in Steubenville will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Agape Apostolic Assembly located at 525 Slack St., Steubenville.
Patrons can dine in or get cerryout orders by calling (740) 283-1677.
Patrons are asked to allow 30 minutes for deliveries.
The cost is a $7.50 donation.
All proceeds will go toward the Agape Homeless Shelter located near the church, according to a news release.
The following are programs planned by the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County:
-- Children can make a winter craft to take home at the Schiappa Branch on Jan. 17 any time from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. then at the Tiltonsville branch on Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m. and at the Brilliant branch on Jan. 15 at 5:30 p.m. A make-and-take home craft also will be offered at the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant branch on Jan. 14 any time from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and at the Adena branch on Jan. 15 any time from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Register for the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant Branch at (740) 769-2090.
-- A book discussion group for the Dillonvale-Mount Pleasant branch will meet on Jan. 15 at 5 p.m.
-- Get tech help on how to download books and music from the library's website to your hand-held devices at the Schiappa branch on Jan. 16 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call the library at (740) 264-6166 to make a 15-minute appointment.
-- Play and Learn for caregiver and children ages birth to 3 will be offered at the Toronto branch on Jan. 16 at 12 p.m.
-- Children ages 2-6 along with a caregiver can attend the Play and Learn Alphabet at the main library on Jan. 15 at 6 p.m.
-- New at the main library is Coffee & A Movie for adults beginning Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. Coffee & A Movie will be held the third Friday at 10 a.m. of every month. Registration not required.
-- Learn how to turn an old book into an art journal with Lillian Brue. A demonstration will be held on Jan. 15 at noon. Register by calling the library at (740) 282-9782.
