To the editor:
How do they vote in the United Nations?
The majority of the various Arabic/Islamic States vote against the United State more than 70 percent of the time. These votes are recorded at both the U.S. State Department and the United Nations.
Yet the United States sends Foreign Aid to those that hate us.
Egypt, for example, after voting 79 percent of the time against the U.S., still receives $2 billion annually in U.S. foreign aid.
Jordan, which votes 71 percent of the time against the U.S., still receives $192,814,000 annually in U.S. foreign aid.
Pakistan votes against the U.S. 75 percent of the time yet receives $6,721,000,000 annually in U.S. foreign aid.
India, which votes 81 percent of the time against the U.S., receives $143,699,000 annually in foreign aid from the United States.
Our government is willing to send money to these countries even though they do not like us, even though if it means cutting Social Security and Medicare for our own seniors and even though our country is on the verge of bankruptcy.
These countries that receive U.S. foreign aid only continue to bite the hand that feeds them.
It's time to cut the foreign aid, get out of the U.N., and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to keep their own families fed, clothed and sheltered.
Get the U.S. out of the U.N. and the U.N. out of New York.
E-mail, phone, write to your senators and representative and tell them it's time for the United States to get out of the U.N. and to stop funding it.
