Jets defeat Huskies

MORRISTOWN - The Harrison Central girls basketball team fell to 0-2 with a 52-30 loss at Union Local Thursday.

Katie Ellzy led the Huskies with 10 points. Jess Custer added seven and Kara Dunfee scored six.

Harrison Central hosts Buckeye Local Monday.

Ferry claws Wildcats

MARTINS FERRY - The Edison girls basketball team was outscored 27-12 over the second and third quarters en route to a 41-28 loss at Martins Ferry Thursday.

Katelyn Pollock led the Wildcats with 12 points. Kayli Stewart scored six, Molly McCoy added five and Abby Fonow pitched in four.

Edison (0-2) travels to Indian Creek Monday.

Ham shoot set for Sunday

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Sportsman's Club on McAdoo Ridge will hold its annual Christmas Ham Shoot at 1 p.m. Sunday.

There will be luck shoots, free squads for children and women, beginner trap shoots for hams, tip boards and pies, with hams awarded to all winners.

Food will be sold at the kitchen.
