To the editor:
This letter is a little belated, however, it is important to me that I share a Good Samaritan story with you. I wish to send a heartfelt thank you to a very nice and extremely honest young man. I don't know his name, but I am sure he will recognize himself in this letter.
A few weeks ago after shopping at Wal-Mart in Weirton, I went out to my car and unloaded my purchases into my trunk. I then returned the cart to the buggy return area in the parking lot. When I got home, I reached for my cane and my purse. To my dismay, my purse was not there. I panicked and searched the car three times. I told my husband I had to go back to the store. He then told me that Wal-Mart had just called for me and that they had my purse there at the store. When I returned to Wal-Mart, the clerk behind the service desk told me that a young man came in and said he had just found a purse in a cart in the parking lot. He said he did not look in it, and he just brought it into the store right away. He did not leave his name or any contact information.
It is heartwarming and comforting to know that there are still honest and caring young people in today's world. Whoever you are, please know your kindness was deeply appreciated. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed holiday.
