STEUBENVILLE - The Steubenville High School commons will be the site of dastardly deeds and nefarious going-ons on Saturday.
Thespian members, under the direction of Scott Wolodkin, will present "I'm Getting Murdered in the Morning," an audience participation murder-mystery. Lee Mueller is the playwright, and this will serve as the first theatrical production for the 2012-2013 school year.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with seating and appetizers beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the commons area. Audience members will attend the wedding reception of Edward Crock and Brenda Anne Marie Montague, a young couple in love. A wedding reception isn't complete without the flower and garter toss, and, of course, a chance to dance with the bride. But what lurks around this reception are murder and mayhem. Audience members will have the opportunity to solve the dastardly crime.
Cast members include senior Ryan Ledakis, Marissa McAllister, Joseph DuBois, Nyasha Jones, Geena Diomedi, Masan Rogers and Shane Fabros. Juniors involved are Dominic Di Carlo, Adam Andresen, Lucy Falls, Brooke Sutherland, Sarah Mamula, Bryan Brown, Joey Nodianos, Katie Ching, Seth Kenefick and Meg Cutler. Technical crew members include Francesca Torini, Shauna Contumelio, Alex Kilonsky, and Brittany Lazasz.
Tickets for the event are $15 per person and include dinner - rosemary chicken, Italian green beans, pasta and meatballs, salad and bread, dessert and a beverage - followed by the performance. No tickets will be sold at the door, and reservations are required. For reservations and tickets, call (740) 282-9741 extension 1149. The reservation deadline is Thursday. The box office will be open in the Crimson Commons from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and reservations can be made in person.
