Two transported following accident

STEUBENVILLE - Two Steubenville residents were transported to Trinity Medical Center West following an accident involving three vehicles on Sunset Boulevard at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

City Police reported Kevin O. McConnel, 52, of 108 Braybarton Blvd., and Aimee L. Black, 36, of 244 South Seventh St., were transported by the Steubenville Ambulance Service to the hospital, where their status wasn't available.

Police said Mary J. White, 40, of 209 North Commercial Alley, Steubenville, was turning left from Shirley Circle West onto Sunset Boulevard when her vehicle struck McConnel's in the westbound passing lane, causing it to veer into the eastbound lane and strike Black's vehicle.

White was cited for failure to yield.

Pet pictures with Santa planned

The first will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8 at Jefferson Landmark on old U.S. Route 22 in Bloomingdale. The second will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Jefferson Landmark on state Route 150 in Dillonvale.

For a $12 donation, your pet can have its photo taken with Santa Claus, and presented to you in a 4x6 holiday keepsake frame. Please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier. Children and family members are welcome to have photos taken also.
