NOTNI, Dora Marie (D'Eugenio), 83, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH, with her family by her side.
She was born on May 11, 1929, in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Camillo D'Eugenio and Josephine (Giorgini) DiGennaro and her stepfather, John DiGennaro.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Notni, on Nov. 19, 2010; and brothers Dominick "Babe" D'Eugenio, Aldo D'Eugenio, and infant brother, Aldo D'Eugenio; and a sister, Mary (D'Eugenio) Vargo.
Dora was a 1947 graduate of Follansbee High School.
Dora was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Follansbee, WV, and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the I.S.D.A. Fraternity in Weirton, WV, and the Theta Chi Alpha sorority, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her two children, Frank P. Notni and companion, Katie Harper of Follansbee, WV, and Susan (Donald Jr.) Michaux of Follansbee, WV; one brother, William (Karin) DiGennaro of Germany; one special sister, Betty (Carl "Peanuts") Bailey of Follansbee, WV; a sister-in-law, Millie D'Eugenio of Mississippi; three grandchildren, Michelle Michaux (Ryan) Scherich, and Melissa and Michael Michaux; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Addison Scherich; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Honey Musante of Follansbee, WV.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20th from 2-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Follansbee, WV, with Msgr. Paul Hudock as celebrant.
Entombment will be held in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 1017 Jefferson St., Follansbee, WV 26037; or the Brooke County Relay for Life at 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26501.
The family would especially like to thank Lifeline Hospital, Trinity Medical Center West, the Teramana Cancer Center and all the doctors and staff for all the excellent care Dora received.
