LAZOR, William "Bill," 83, of Piedmont, Ohio, formerly of Mingo Junction, died Saturday, November 17, 2012, in Wintersville, Ohio.
He was born May 15, 1929, in Cannonsburg, PA.
Bill was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He enjoyed several years of retirement with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Martha Carpenter Lazor; two brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (Mike) Homol of Steubenville and Christina (Dale) Bonnett of Belmont; a sister, Eva Vadasz of Mingo Junction; a brother, The Metropolitan Theodosius of Cannonsburg, PA; nine grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Barton, Ohio, with the Very Rev. Michael Kabel officiating. Burial follows in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
There will be a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. on Monday and a Panachida service at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
