To the editor:
I want to personally thank the residents of Island Creek Township for supporting the 1-mill additional fire levy that appeared on the Nov. 6 ballot.
Your hard-earned money will be put to very good use by upgrading and helping to maintain fire apparatus and equipment. This equipment is here to protect you and your loved ones. We strive to provide the best service possible. Most of our members are trained to a level higher than the state required minimum and the additional funds will help us to receive even more training. If you want to see how your money is being spent, please feel free to contact me for a tour of our station and an explanation of exactly where your money goes.
