Church helps hurricane victims

The American Red Cross Jefferson County Chapter received a check from the Rev. John Westling of the First Baptist Church, Plum & Cedar in Steubenville to provide relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy. The $5,000 check was presented to Kathy Musso, Red Cross executive director, who stated the check will benefit many families with hot meals, temporary shelter, mental health services and other emergency needs and supplies. The American Red Cross has more than 5,000 volunteers working in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland and West Virginia.
