HARRIS, Robert Edward, Sr., 67, of Wellsburg, WV, formerly of Weirton, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Weirton Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1945, in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of the late Emery Helen Marie Keeder Harris.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Lewis Harris, and a sister, Florence Harris.
Robert retired from WVNCC, where he was the superintendent of the maintenance department. He also was a very talented painter. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and detailing cars.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Sue Brown of Wellsburg; three sons, Mark (Nycole) Harris of Myrtle Beach, SC, Patrick Harris of Richmond, OH and Robert E, (Theresa) Harris, Jr. of Weirton, WV; a daughter, Anna Harris Waugh of Weirton, WV; a brother, Thomas (JoAnn) Harris of Toronto, OH; two sisters, Audrey (Joe) Simich and Darlene Harris all of Weirton; a sister in law, Karen Harris of Weirton; grandchildren, Cortney (Tim) Yeater, Brittany and Michael Harris, Lucas Waugh, Jacob Glynn and Justin Reed; a great- granddaughter, Ava Yeater; a niece, Cindy James.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Friday at the Riverview Baptist Church, Wellsburg. Rev. Lawrence Kimble will preside. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
