WEIRTON - Cassandra J. Nicastro and James R. Matthews were married during a 3 p.m. ceremony on July 7 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Monroeville, Pa. The Rev. Vincent Fortunato officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas C. and Barbara A. Nicastro of Weirton.
The groom is the son of James and Amy M. Matthews of Monroeville, Pa.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sweetheart neckline, mermaid style, ivory taffeta gown with a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses.
Amanda Nicastro, sister of the bride, and Adriane Rybka served as maid and matron of honor, respectively. Karina Nicastro, sister of the bride; Tracy Kolano, sister of the groom; Heather Contino and Krystina Nicastro, cousins of the bride; and Jaimie Dayoub, Kamilla Fronzaglia, Sarah Plunkett, Jennifer Sams and Alissa Kolano were bridesmaids.
Gianna Chenet and Layla McLaughlin were flowergirls.
Ralph Mastromonaco was the best man. Jeffrey Matthews, brother of the groom; Chris Rafferty, cousin of the groom; and Sean Biancaniello, George Campbell, Ken Echague, Ryan Gubala, Jeff Midgley, Brad Sattler, Brandon Tanguay and Tommy Rafferty, cousin of the groom, were groomsmen.
Benjamin Rafferty, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. They honeymooned in Tahiti and Bora Bora.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Madonna High School, a 2005 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a 2009 graduate of the West Viriginia University School of Pharmacy with a doctorate in pharmacy. She is the medical director of MedLearning Inc. in Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Gateway High School and a 2005 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He is the area manager of chemical and pharmaceutical operations of the northeast for Cardinal Health.
The couple will reside in West Hartford, Conn.
