"We've been moving the ball well all year except for a couple of ballgames," said Toronto coach Eric Meek. "It was good to get out to a big lead at half. Our JV kids came in and did a really good job. It was great to send our five seniors out as winners in their final home game."

Hundred's Nick Varner finished with 19 carries for 189 yards and two scores.

"We went down and saw him last week," Meek said of Varner. "We were very concerned about him. He ran hard. He's a pretty good player."

"We have a lot of young kids on this team with only five seniors," said Meek. "We were able to play six JV games this year, which I am happy about. Most schools our size, with the numbers down all over the Ohio Valley, are not able to do that. This year our younger kids got an awful lot of experience, which will only help us in the future.

"A lot of those younger kids saw varsity time. We are a very young and small team. We don't have a lot of big kids. We are not where we need to be in the weight room yet.

"I really can't be concerned with what everyone considers success and failure. We are a couple of plays away from being a .500 team this year with a lot of young kids. We utilized our speed by switching offenses this year. It gave us a chance."

Toronto finishes its season Oct. 27 against Madonna at Jimmy Carey Stadium.

"Now, we have to get ready for Madonna, which is an awfully good team," said the coach. "We'll see how we stack up with them."

The Red Knights (3-6) finished with 515 yards of offense.
