STEUBENVILLE - The Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan campaign bus will stop in the city at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Jefferson County Republican Party Chairman Dr. Brian Wilson said the campaign bus, along with U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Marietta, Ohio Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor and a congresswoman from Washington will take part in the campaign stop near the Jefferson County Board of Elections at 117 N. Third St.
"Gov. Romney and Congressman Ryan will not be there Thursday, but we hope to have a great turnout for these elected officials and show our support for the Romney and Ryan ticket," said Wilson.
The Romney-Ryan campaign bus has been touring Ohio to promote early voting.
The campaign bus was in Lisbon last week, and campaign officials indicated the bus will make stops in all of Ohio's 88 counties.
The bus is to transport Romney and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan to campaign rallies scheduled throughout Ohio.
"At every stop we've had tons of people who come to see the bus. We had another bus that was (in Lisbon) that was a phone bank operation in the back so people could make calls to friends and neighbors encouraging them to vote," Jason Osborne, the bus coordinator, said.
