Break-in: Apartment building under renovation in the 100 block of North Fifth Street broken into and power saw and tool battery chargers taken between Saturday and Monday.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Timothy J. Samples, 49, 121 Vireo Drive, Wintersville, operating a vehicle under the influence, today.

Arrested: James Stewart, 28, 610 township Road 285A, Toronto, and Ryan Straker, 27, township Road 378, Steubenville, each charged with felony theft after a deputy reported the men stole a road grate covering a culvert on township Road 285A and sold it for scrap on Monday.

Brooke County sheriff

Arrested: Cole C. Mullins, 18, no fixed address, attempted daytime burglary, Friday.

Theft: A television and video player were taken from a home in the 500 block of Frederick Street on Hooverson Heights between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Friday.


Arrested: Adam Daniel Marzullo, 33, 904 Byron St., Weirton, petit larceny and joyriding, Wednesday.

Arrested: Tyler Allen Riggs, 20, 561 Bruin Drive Wellsburg, battery, Friday.

Arrested: Sean Eric Owings, 32, 3126 Main St., Weirton, driving while license revoked for driving under the influence, Sunday.
