HIRED: Daniel Garcia, P.E., CPESC, has joined the staff at Hammontree & Associates in St. Clairsville.
Garcia has 20 years of experience as a professional engineer registered in Ohio, West Virginia and Missouri in civil and environmental engineering and has served as a district engineer at the Ohio EPA, Southwest District office. His expertise includes water supply design, wastewater treatment design, storm water management, erosion and sediment controls and solid waste management. He has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University and is a certified professional in erosion and sediment control.
NAMED: Elizabeth Lowry has been named the new director of advancement at Brightway Center located on county Road 15.
She graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and minor in psychology and business.
Before coming on board with Brightway, she was a writer and copy editor for an international news company.

COORDINATOR: Pamela Merritt is the new pre-need and after-care coordinator for Mullenbach Funeral Home in Follansbee.
Merritt, who attended Franciscan University of Steubenville and Eastern Gateway Community College, was licensed by the state of West Virginia to sell pre-need funeral contracts in the Mountain State after passing the insurance license exam.
Owner Joseph M. Mullenbach cited a need for the new services, saying as his business has grown, "we felt it was a good time to offer more services and support to families we serve."
Merritt has been with Wheeling-Nisshin for more than 25 years.
