Lawrenceville firefighters cleaned up after an accident on U.S. Route 30 involving a NAPA Auto Parts pickup truck that landed on its top Thursday morning. The driver, Paul Heffner, employed by the NAPA Auto Parts store in Calcutta, was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with neck injuries. Heffner was eastbound on Route 30 when he went left of center and struck two westbound tractor-trailers hauling coal ash from the Bruce Mansfield Plant in Shippingport, Pa., according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department. No other injuries were reported. Hancock County Sheriff Mike White said excessive speed may have been a factor.
