Knights fall in five
BOWERSTON - The Toronto volleyball team lost a 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 21-21, 15-11 decision at Conotton Valley Monday.
Cari Horne had eight kills, two blocks and a dig; Taylor Linn eight assists, one block and a dig; and Chelsea Anderson four blocks, one kill and an assist.
"I really have nothing to be upset about until the fifth set when we made three key mental and communication errors," said Red Knights coach Chelsey Fletcher. "Both teams played hard and competitively. I am truly proud of the way these young ladies fought all night. We made some position changes to compensate for an illness and lack of effort and wow did those girls step to the plate."
Toronto hosts Steubenville Catholic Central Wednesday.
