Scott I. Mathess

MATHESS, Scott I., 57, of Toronto, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at his home.

Born Dec. 13, 1954, in East Liverpool, he is the son of the late Charles and Esther Mathess.

Scott is a graduate of Wellsville High School and was a member of the North River Avenue Christian Church in Toronto.

Scott enjoyed four wheeling and being part of the Sugar Grove Community. Scott, formerly of the Teamsters Union, Local 92, worked as a truck driver for PI&I Motor Express and most recently B&T Express.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents and his immediate family.

Scott is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mrs. Mary Jane (Lamp) Mathess, whom he married Aug. 23, 1992; a daughter, Mrs. Julie Camp and her husband Bill of Wintersville, Ohio; a son, Eric Gerkins of Steubenville, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Mara Camp also of Wintersville.

Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, from 1 until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home 302 Main St. Toronto, OH 43964. (740) 527-1234/ (855) 847-1240.
